Workshop equipment and capabilities
HAIL's fabrication workshop Vadodara is purpose-built for heavy industrial job work Gujarat contractors demand. The facility houses a CNC plasma cutting machine capable of profile-cutting plates up to 3 m x 12 m in CS, LTCS and stainless steel grades. Our 3-roll hydraulic plate rolling machine handles shell courses up to 3 metres width and 50 mm thickness for cylindrical and conical sections. For long-seam and circumferential welds on thick-wall vessels, we operate a submerged arc welding (SAW) station that delivers high-deposition, low-distortion welds with consistent root penetration and fusion.
Additional equipment includes SMAW, GMAW and GTAW welding sets for manual and semi-automatic work, a portable PWHT system for localised stress relief on thicker joints, shot-blasting equipment for SA 2.5 surface preparation, and a dedicated hydrostatic test bay with calibrated pressure gauges and chart recorders. The workshop is serviced by an overhead gantry crane for material handling and a lay-down area sized for staging large fabricated assemblies before transport. Materials we fabricate
Our SS fabrication Vadodara capability covers the full range of stainless steel grades used in process plant construction. We routinely fabricate in SS 304/316 for chemical and pharma equipment, and we handle duplex fabrication (2205 and super duplex 2507) for chloride-rich and seawater-service applications with controlled heat-input welding and ferrite testing. MS fabrication job work in carbon steel grades IS 2062, SA 516 Gr.70 and SA 537 Cl.1 are standard production materials for our heavy engineering works. For low-temperature carbon steel (LTCS) service such as ammonia and cryogenic piping, we fabricate in SA 333 Gr.6 with impact-tested weld procedures. Alloy steels including Cr-Mo grades for high-temperature steam piping and Hastelloy C-276 for severe acid service are also within our qualified WPS range.
