Ammonia storage & handling

Refrigerated atmospheric ammonia tanks per API 620 Appendix R, pressurised ammonia bullets, ammonia transfer terminals, vapour recovery systems and ammonia pipeline interconnections. Also: ammonia tank decommissioning using reverse-jacking methodology — gas-freeing, purging, sectional dismantling and environmental compliance. HAIL is one of India's few contractors qualified for both construction and decommissioning of ammonia storage.

Urea plant mechanical works

High-pressure synthesis reactor erection, stripper and decomposer column installation, carbamate piping in duplex/super-duplex SS, prilling tower structural steel, granulator mechanical installation, prill catcher systems and product conveying equipment. Materials: SS 316L urea grade, 25Cr-22Ni-2Mo duplex for carbamate service.

DAP / NPK plant equipment

Phosphoric acid storage tanks (rubber-lined CS or SS 316L), granulator drums, dryers, coolers, scrubbers, cyclones, bag filter housings, conveyor structures and bagging plant mechanical works. Acid-resistant materials and coatings throughout the wet-section and granulation areas.

Pressure vessels & heat exchangers

Synthesis converters, high-pressure exchangers, condensers, absorbers, stripper columns, waste-heat boilers and deaerators for ammonia-urea and phosphatic fertilizer plants. ASME U-stamp fabrication, alloy and CS construction, PWHT, full radiography and hydrotest.

Process & utility piping

High-pressure ammonia and CO2 piping, carbamate piping (duplex SS), phosphoric acid piping (rubber-lined/PTFE-lined), cooling water, steam, condensate, instrument air, nitrogen and plant air distribution. ASME B31.3 compliance with pre-heat, PWHT and radiography on critical services.

Structural steel & heavy erection

Prilling tower structures (up to 80 m height), granulator building frames, bagging plant structures, pipe racks, equipment platforms, maintenance access structures. Erection using HAIL-owned 200/100/50/20 MT crane fleet with engineered lift studies for heavy columns, reactors and exchangers.
